#BagsOfHope

Our #BagsOfHope campaign is an easy and effective way to connect business with community groups tackling poverty and isolation across our city and county. Businesses ask for bags which employees fill with some treats and essential items, which are then distributed to people and families in need through our network of community partners. A great way to show people struggling over the festive period that the wider community care about them. It gives all employees an opportunity to donate and participate in a great cause that makes a significant difference to those who receive them. The campaign's aim is to provide small festive gifts and winter treats to vulnerable and disadvantaged groups, particularly during what can be a difficult and lonely time.

In 2023 we collected 932 filled bags and delivered them to 29 different community groups. All with the help of our wonderful businesses, this wouldn't have been possible without you!

This year we have simplified the process. We will deliver bags to businesses by 31st October 2024. We are looking for donations of:

  • Festive chocolates or biscuits
  • Tea, coffee or hot chocolate
  • Essential toiletries

Once the bags are filled we will collect from you week commencing 2nd December to ensure they are all donated to community groups before Christmas Day.

Supporting #BagsOfHope is even easier.

Text BAGS to 70580 to donate £3

Texts will cost the donation amount plus one standard network rate message.

We're also accepting online donations through our fundraising page Wonderful.org | Bags of Hope and accepting donations of items for the bags.

Now more then ever we need business, community and local government to work together so nobody is left behind. Which is why we are asking our friends in the business sector to support our Bags of Hope festive campaign so we can share some hope and inspiration to people in need across our city and county.
