Together We Ball - Thankyou Everards

A huge thank you to Everards who provided our young people with a rare corporate experience at our local basketball team Leicester Riders' fantastic facility.

The Altogether Now Project team were recently invited by Jenny Hailes at Everards, to experience the opportunity to attend a Leicester Riders game in the corporate area. One young person, Ross and Kym from Altogether Now as well as participant from the Power To Change Project, got to attend a three course meal in the corporate area of the Mattioli Woods Stadium followed by the chance to sit courtside during a SLB game against Cheshire Phoenix. The food was fantastic and the conversation between our young people and the staff from Everards was great to witness.

Being able to sit courtside during a game was an opportunity that the young people in attendance will never forget, they spent the entire match completely engrossed and this was made even better with Leicester Riders taking home the win! Jenny (Everards) also invited one of our young people onto the court before the tip off to, whilst thee Owner presented Everards with a signed jersey and pose for pictures. We are extremely grateful for this opportunity that was provided to us and our young people once again from Everards and we are confident that the staff and young people who attended will be talking about it for a long time to come!

As we strive to support our young people to increase their skills and work towards education, employment and training; its great to be able to also offer new and rare experiences along the way. The opportunity for these young people to attend this event and communicate from the lovely staff members of Everards in a social setting continues to be fantastic for their development and we are grateful once again for the opportunity.
