I loved learning how to work the machines.
MR started attending Leicestershire Cares Power to Change media workshops back in August. During our first few sessions, he was very withdrawn and was reluctant to join in the group discussions. However, over time MR has spoken more about his life in Syria during the war, being shot and eventually fleeing to the UK with his family.
Since being in the UK, MR has been attending school and is achieving his educational goals. Sadly, he has experienced bullying and was seriously assaulted which has understandably, shattered his self-confidence.
Since joining the Power to Change workshops he has noticeably grown in confidence and is now a valued member of the group and has made some trusted friends. MR has successfully completed four weeks of podcast training and has demonstrated that he has leant and understood the training by setting up and directing one of our weekly podcasts.
“I enjoyed learning how to use the machines”
MR has expressed that these sessions has helped him with his confidence and is now feeling happy within himself and ready to enjoy the next phase of his life. Leicestershire Cares are proud to be part of his journey so far and will continue to support him.
