Thursday 16th May marked our Annual Awards Celebration and the power to change project participants Sam (Dah Gee Starz) and Godwin helped by using the skills they have learnt from our Power to Change project content creator group, Godwin dived right in and began using his photography skills to capture the event, producing some amazing images, displaying these skills for all to see. Sam (Dah Gee Starz) helped with the entertainment by performing one of his new track titled Peace & unity, which was a custom piece he created for a community group (dialogue society) a few months ago that he also performed at their iftar event during Ramadan, the audience at Leicestershire Cares Annual awards were in awe of the level of performance from this young man, needless to say he received a standing ovation. Both young men displayed, what the Power to Change project is about and how it can change the lives of young people.
I am proud of what they have both achieved in so little time. They did a great job.
