We are proud to announce that Everards Brewery has been awarded the Leicestershire Care's Business Contribution to Community Development award.
This recognition comes as a result of their continuous engagement, hard work, and support towards our community campaigns and challenges.
Over the past year, Everards has generously donated various items such as glasses, food, and household items to several community groups and organisations across Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland. These donations have made a significant impact on these communities and helped bring about positive change.
Last December, Everards supported our 'Bags of Hope' campaign by creating festive bags filled with biscuits, treats, toiletries, books and gifts for those in need. These bags were distributed to people who would have been at risk of being left without anything during what can be a lonely and difficult time for many. Additionally, Everards participated in our annual support of a local charity called 'Toys on the Table'. Volunteers from the business were invited to wrap presents for children who may not receive any gifts otherwise.
More recently, a team of willing volunteers, have giving their time, energy and expertise to create a sensory garden at a local dementia day care centre. They initially spent a day pruning, clearing pots and planters and emptying a pond, all in preparation for a subsequent day of planting and the reintroduction of the pond. The result is an amazing outdoor space full of colour, smells, sounds and exploration for the guests to enjoy. In addition to their hard work in the garden, Everards also upgraded the centres replica pub, supplying signs, glasses, memorabilia and even a fake pump. The guests and staff are delighted with the result.
Everards have truly deserved this accolade and we hope they will continue to work closely with us in the future, creating and engaging in many more opportunities to give back to the community and to make a real difference.
