Leicestershire Cares are nominated for the 2024 East Midlands Chamber Awards - Education and Business Partnership Category.
We have a strong and longstanding relationship with both the education and business sector which has been highlighted by this nomination.
The East Midlands Chamber recognises the impact of our work with over 5000 students from mainstream and SEND schools interacting with 266 individual volunteers from 66 individual businesses accross the city and county.
Our volunteers have brought a wealth of skills and experience to the mock interview sessions and career talks which helps students gain real life insights into the careers and employment processes.
This award recognises schools, colleges, further education and training providers that engage effectively with business. Entrants must demonstrate how they work in partnership with local businesses and how they help pupils develop crucial employability skills valued by employers.
