The UP and WIRE Projects are collaborating with the BBC Radio Leicester this month to raise awareness and deterrence to young people involved in knife crime. We have several online sessions upcoming in July and August and hope to recruit some young people to lead on the creation of a short video aimed to deter young people away from carrying knives.
Further to this we have the Antoin Akpon Achievements Foundation and Leicestershire Police on board to support ways young people can divert away from knife crime.
