On the 24th of June 2021, we had the pleasure of Barbara Czyznikowska, Chair of Project Polska, to host a valuable and relevant conversation for our staff team as part of our Diversity and Inclusion conversation series webinars with local community groups.
These conversations aim to empower, connect, and create awareness of different cultural norms as well as the history, the challenges, and the needs of our diverse communities in Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland. By learning with and from these communities, we can reflect on our future practices and support them best to build their capacity and work in an anti-oppressive way. We also need to eliminate discrimination and removing the barriers that prevent people from accessing vital services.
We are very grateful to Barbara Czyznikowska for delivering a very informative and engaging session to our staff members about the Polish community in Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland.
