Altogether now project participant
Last week the Altogether Now Project funded by Henry smith, hosted a a trip to Beaumanor Hall. 6 members of the Leicestershire cares team, working across multiple projects, accompanied 21 young people aged 15-24years old for a full and energetic activity day.
The day was dedicated to flexing and developing vital skills in :
- Team working
- Effective communication
- Planning and strategizing
- Leadership
- Developing new relationships
- Building confidences'
- Over coming barriers and anxieties
Everyone did incredible well and great fun was had by all. The element of competitiveness during tasks added great motivation for many of our young people and it was encouraging to see that peer to peer encouragement grew across the day.
They Participated in:
- A geometrical shape challenge
- Drain pipe relay races
- The "Human crane"
- Structure building
- A Zip wire
- High rope vertical challenge
Thanks Beaumanor Hall......... we had a blast!
I had a great day, it was nice to meet some new people and I'm looking forwards to the next activity
